Lorena Macías

In 2019, I started my own architecture firm, marking the beginning of a new chapter in my career and establishing my own unique approach to design and to bringing each project to life on-site.

One of the first major challenges was the design and development of a gated community in Itacora, Ñeembucú, intended for those seeking a close connection with nature, the river, and fishing.

I was hired as an independent architect and project manager to oversee the development and coordination of the project, designing its main amenities and country homes. Since then, I have continued to develop projects and supervise construction within the same development.

From there, the firm gradually expanded its scope of work and reach, undertaking projects in Asunción, San Bernardino, and various locations throughout the country, such as Itacora and Filadelfia.

I have developed architectural and interior design projects, overseen the construction of residential properties and large-scale, high-end buildings, and led comprehensive renovations, also taking on the role of project manager when the scale and complexity of the project required it.

The search for new challenges also opened up new opportunities, such as nautical design, following a request from a Brazilian shipyard to design the interior of one of its vessels.

I design and develop each project, guiding it from the initial ideas through to its completion. Architecture and interior design are part of the same process, in which the layout, materials, lighting, and construction details are conceived with the people who will live there in mind.

My work continues throughout the construction process through site supervision, coordination of professionals, contractors, and suppliers, and monitoring of each stage—quality, costs, and progress—with close, clear, and transparent communication.

The trust of my clients—who continue to choose me and recommend me to others—has been key to the studio’s growth and is one of the greatest sources of satisfaction in my work.
